Well, All Things Being Equal...

I am so tired. I nearly fell asleep at my desk at 6:30 tonight, and there was still so much to do. Got some cool little nothings at the $1.00 store for the windows of my apartment building entrance.

There are about 53 details I could tell you about my day, but it would bore you. It was a tense day. The good news is that I have the van back. The bad news is that I won't be able to go to NYC Thursday after all. Good friends are in town and I will miss it.

The rent came out of this week's paycheck, so I's po'. At least I can pay rent.

Random thoughts: (I should really use list tags for these but I am too damned lazy.)

I am pissed off at NPR because they don't cover third party candidates at all. They only said anything at all about the Reform Party because it came to pieces. They should fairly give some exposure to major third party candidates, like Nader for instance, and yes even that horrible Buchanan.

People here drive awful. If one more indignant belligerent ass bursts into honkitude at me because they don't quite have room to pass me on the right shoulder even though I am going 10 mph above the speed limit, I am going to fry them with my mental karma ray, and god help anyone caught in the crossfire.

My cat is a pain in the ASS! Week by week he is getting more clingy and interruptive. How much does one of those robotic dogs cost? I want to get him a companion, but not have that go as badly as last time I tried to do that.

I found out why nobody ever parks in my favorite spot. It's because that's where the tree spritzes sap all over everything. It's not my favorite spot anymore.

Halloween is coming. How come I always know what I am going to be for Halloween when it's, say, February, but I can't remember what the hell that was come October?

Why (have I asked this before?) oh why did we not have the cupholder revolution before the early nineties? We had cups. We had to hold them. What took us so long?

I need to get a passport photo and a set of thumbprints for my ULC press pass. I am so conflicted about this. I really do consider myself a member of the press, even though my readership is probably under 5 (in number, not age) but I still feel a bit fraudulent.

The Olympics are a freakin joke. Let's just axe the damn thing and be done with it. Or, better, let's lift all the bans and let them not only drug but genetically alter themselves if they want to. Make it an international freak fest. Sprinters that are nothing but legs with a head attached. Swimmers who breathe water so they don't have to break that pesky surface tension anymore. Tennis players with bio-rackets instead of dominant hands. Leave the non-dominant hand alone so they can still eat. The possibilities are as myriad as a fly's point of view.

The High Holy Days - My reaction: non-Jewish. I'll be Jewish next year. I don't mean to be flip, but I got a big case of bad attitude.

I know there were more pieces of my mind I wantd to give you, but I can't find em right now.
