What does it feel like to be without pain? I don't really remember. Pain for me is like the awareness that you are wearing clothes. It's something I notice when I'm paying attention to it, but otherwise not such a thing anymore. Something hurts every day. Right now, my back and hands hurt, and I am having a herpes outbreak, which is quite unpleasant to be sure. But the herpes only kills me when I move enough that my clothing moves.

My hands hurt nearly all the time. My hips hurt sometimes. My knees are painful on days when I have the headaches, tiredness, thirst and nausea. I get headaches - tension and migraine and sinus.

But it's all noise now. It takes some real pain to get my attention these days.

Remember when I said about a month or two ago it's no fair to get the runs and a herpes outbreak when you are on your period? Uh huh. It's a particularly painful cycle too, so I have these irritated guts moving in distress against a crampy uterus - oh man, it hurts.
