Firing Up the Boiler
Last week was quite a deflating week. I don't know how many others are experiencing this, but there seems to be a great weight of inertia on all my projects just now. I had so much stuff going on Monday of last week that was suddenly derailed, and I'm only just beginning to get the boiler fire stoked up again.
While I was having my most recent tattoo applied, the artist and I were having a shouted conversation over the heavy metal mood music, and the conversation was about religion. Each of us had to say everything twice, and even then I am not sure I got all of it, but the gist is presumably that even though I am officially Mormon and he is officially Catholic, neither of us is actually either. He does believe in reincarnation, which is an idea I truly like and wish I could believe in unreservedly. He also believes in karma, though he didn't use that word. I mentioned to him that I never have to get revenge: the Universe always does it for me.

Well Tempered Web Design returned awhile ago from a tour of duty in Geekcorps. She showed me a link to a site she made to demonstrate Adinkra symbols from Western Africa. These things have me completely enthralled. I think my tattoo list is about to get longer.
