Justice? Medieval All Over Again

So I went to a trial Saturday. It was a complete mockery of the very meaning of a trial. The prosecution was also the presiding judge. There was no cross-examination. The two deciding judges convicted despite their full acknowledgment that there was no evidence at all.

I was going to give a highly detailed account of the proceedings, but this draft has sat in my Edit Plus ever since that day, and I still haven't found the time to finish it up.

It was an Adrian Empire thing. And from what I can tell with my own two eyes (and ears), I can see that the King of York needs some assistance in getting over himself.

It's bad to be clueless. It's worse to be arrogant. It's much, much worse to be both, and to have power issues besides. And to go around witch-hunting people because they carry more esteem than you.

Wlofie was not the first to mention that this fellow strongly resembles John the Landless of Robin Hood fame. He probably won't be the last either.
