I don't know if I posted about this before, but IBM has this interesting array of Linux tutorials in its Developerworks site. Sadly, the pages load slowly, but that's really the only drawback. I'm finding lots of good information in easy-to-digest bite-size pieces.
Right now I am working my way through the LPI certification series of tutorials. I'm in the 101 series, part 2, which is about basic administration.
If you're new, like me, these tutorials are a good place to start. You do have to take on a userID and password and answer some questions in order to sign up, but these are without charge and highly useful. I deem them worth the trouble, even if they do load slowly.
