Recital

My serious limerick, a particularly painful bit about being causally discarded, is lost to the ether.  Ah well, I can tell you it was a rare work of wordcraftsmanship, but I could say anything now that it's gone, can't I?
Here are those haiku that I came up with chatting with facter the other night, cleaned up of its extra syllables for the public, of course.

on phone installation, ignorant of voltage

zapping electrons
flow hard fast incessantly
yet too slow for me

on sorrow

joy removed is flat
flat is a line, unyielding
i want my joy back

on instant connection

two water droplets
slide down the glass and then join
bead up, flow away

on a salesman i was really angry at

asinine bastard
salesmen make me want to puke
gesticulating

still on the salesman

his hair is too slick
combed in rows, shellaqued down hard
why have a helmet?

on my impromptu mic stand

monster holds my mic
his grimace unwavering
its a damn hard job

on desperation

out of cream soda
the strawberry lime is low
another truck?  when?

on footgear

oh my boots are brown
strings go twice around you know
but they squeak, annoying

on wall decoration

picture old modem
nine hundred baud, how modern!
gathers dust, above

on curly sue

how her smile caught me
and her laugh held me captive
but she's straight, married :)

on facter's drawing ability

miss my robot arm
it was so complete, charming
it washed right away :(

on a story from zach

told me of a guy
green marker, he stained himself
will you like me now?

on a minor breast accident

it was pain, at least
my ring got caught, hurt a lot
wear undershirts, spud

on parting with fac

a tear didn't fall
it hid beneath dark glasses
he tried to be strong
I should have pictures of the house, among other things, tomorrow.  El Prez is bringing software from home so I can jack in his camera at work rather than wait for him to find time at 2 am.

Tales from the Field

If you are sick of hearing about soda and the soda business, I suggest you ignore the sidebar.

New load came in today, while I was at the doctor's, having my sore throat looked at.  El Prez offloaded, and didn't do too bad a job.  His organization will make everything better.

Every one of these bottles is marked kosher.  This is a very good thing; in this area, it can be vital.  We had some old stock on hand that predated certification.
