I wrote Rebar a long letter the other day, which broke my writing dam because everything I needed to ask or say or ponder was something that should be addressed directly to him, and not obliquely through this journal.  Once I got that letter out, I felt much better, lighter, and full of purpose.  I had a rough night afterward, and a pretty sad morning, but by noon, my mood started to lift and it was easier getting on with things.
Yesterday I had a very positive and interesting job interview.  It was pretty exciting, as the people conducting the interview were intelligent and energetic people, and their enthusiasm was infectious.  I really got interested in their company, even more so than I was from the initial pre-interview research.  They remind me of Dry & Thirsty in a lot of ways.  They have the innovative spirit, and they seem to also have a healthy helping of business wisdom.  That's an important thing.
I don't like this design so much.  It feels amateurish instead of simplistic.  Sometimes less is more, and sometimes it's too little.  I really liked the design of the Hangar, and of the horizontal journals that predated it, but I need to go off in another direction somehow.
Plus, however applicable, the phoenix theme has never really been all that attractive to me.  Yeah, I know, my very first journal is phoenix themed.  Notice I didn't keep it that way for long.
