I slept the sleep of the dead. I lay down for a two hour nap and awoke to find that the time had only incremented one hour for the amount of restfulness I felt. I then discovered it was not one hour, it was thirteen.
Guess I really need a 24 hour clock. I'd love one in binary. Heh.
I also had terrible nightmares about living in a police state, except the police part in name only. Think impromptu executions for no real reason except to induce terror and assert power. Ugh, the less about that the better.
So. I'm working on a couple of projects, one of which is a logo for a special distribution of Linux. I asked the author if he wanted a penguin incorporated into the design, and he laughed and said that if I could pull it off, then sure. So I've been gathering lots of pictures of penguins. I don't want to adapt Tux. Frankly, I'm a little bit tired of him, although I will do a Tux version anyway, just to say I did.
Nah, I think the one for the logo will be an idealized hybrid of Adelie and Emperor species. I love the coloration of the Adelie, but prefer the shape of the Emperor. This has to be a dramatic logo, so the creature has to have both a dramatic head shape and dramatic coloring, but not so cheerful as all this orange and yellow stuff (colors I personally love but are all wrong for the logo).
