Okay, That's IT!

I have had IT. I have had it with being tired, tired of being sick, sick of being frustrated, frustrated with feeling like crap, and feeling like crap about myself because I am dissatisfied. My immune system is shot. My ass is a bag of lard. I do not feel well.

Enough already!

I was fit before. I will be fit again. I will feel good in my body.

Dammit.

How does a mouse eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

A friend at work suggested to ease into any life-changing regimen one step at a time. If you try to do it all at once, he reasoned, then it'll be harder to maintain. It's like resolving to do weight-training and heading straight for the 500-lb. barbell and then getting discouraged because you can't lift it on the first day.

He suggested to me that the first thing I ought to try is giving up all carbonated beverages and just drink water for a week. It seemed like a reasonable suggestion, so I've been trying it. Despite having to go to the bathroom every five minutes or so, it's working out well; water is infinitely superior to practically any other softy drink out there.

Next will be mild exercise--a walk around my complex before bedtime. But I'll start that come next Monday.
