Wow, Journally Things
My friends Keldenar, admin of DrivelBox, and Squeaky, admin of InsaneJournal have both streamlined and redesigned their journal sites, and they look mighty damn good, I must say. They also have some great features and themes, and it looks like some pretty diverse sets of communities. Their projects are also good examples of how you can get two really impressive yet different projects out of the same initial source code. I plan on checking out the Crosspost feature on both my member journals, and seeing about how to weave all my LJ-source journals together.
I did a buncha RSS feed-type stuff at LJ so's I could watch my favorite non-LJ journals. Well, some of them - some don't RSS very well, using the tools that I was using. And I also re-sorted all my friends lists - a necessary thing now that they are getting big, and I modified the default friends view, because the iframe here was getting bogged down and broken too. The default friends view is now just people, not communities, and just in-LJ, not external feeds. This was especially important as I know people who don't want to post in LJ but have posts elsewhere, and it's not fair for my convenience to mess up their privacy.
