My idea for countertop extension is a hybrid of the two shown here, so you can see pretty well what I mean. I actually have a large cutting board that I used in the past for this very thing, though it rested directly on the burners, which I wouldn’t want. If I give it some legs to sit atop, that should do the trick.
I like ideas for hanging storage as well. The part about hanging things on the insides of cabinets – watch out for cabinet shelves and other contents that will be in the way. Some of these ideas lose space rather than gain it.
The cabinet that has everything in it that uses pegboard – that could work really well for me with optimization. I only need about a third of the items in there. Where and how to put a cabinet … hmmmm …
