This is My Neighborhood  Welcome to my new Synergy home.  Feels pretty cozy here, but then again, I have been puttering around in here for a long, long time, just hadn't gotten around to setting up residence here.      Top dog on this server is Russ Freeland, who is prolly better known on the net as Dataman.  While I don't wanna turn this into a commercial, you can't really do better than Russ when it comes to hosting.  I've worked with several hosts now, and nobody is more capable nor more dedicated.      Anyway, back to the surroundings...I used to contribute a lot to the New World Times, back when I still had time for a life.  Hell, for awhile I actually ran it.  The NWT is a newspaper that got its start as a publication for Active Worlds citizens, but it has since branched out to include other VRs as well.  Well, the NWT lives here, as does Genesis.      Genesis is a world/project I got involved in a good long while ago.  It's in the Active Worlds universe, and is a cooperative project, a kind of experiment station, where those who are learning to program rwx, renderware (the kind of 3d format that AW is made of), test and display what they have been working on.  My first object was a spiral staircase.  Yeah, I know, Russ said I was crazy to start with something like that.  Well, I did it, so there.      More recently, the head honcho at Dulac Enterprises finally got fed up with his host and moved all eight of the Dulac worlds over here.  That made my job, and that of the rest of the team, a helluva lot easier, since the previous host was having serious connection probs, and for weeks on end the downtime was exceeding the uptime.      Just prior to that, I got my shop set up in this neighborhood.  SpringDew Web Design is just one folder up from here.      So, it's not odd that I feel right at home.  Hope you enjoy your visit.
