Vivid Dreams
In a recent dream, Rebar and I had to go make some kind of shady deal. We entered the wreck of a building, surprised that the elevator still worked, past the sagging sofa with a pair of stringy youths draped comfortably over it. Guess we weren't much of a threat.
Into the elevator and to the 11th floor. There we met the fat cat. I wasn't listening to whatever he and Rebar were saying, my business was keeping watch. I looked around the room, though right now I can't recall the contents. I looked out the window onto the street and rooftops below. I looked again out into the hallway.
Their business done, fat cat escorted us back to the elevator, past yet another old couch with two more flunkies on it. The elevator was too fast going down; I sawyed uncomfortably, saying that if we ever come back here, we go down by stair. For some reason fat cat was in the elevator with us, and he thought that was funny.
We made it out the door alive, and went home.
In another dream, a thunderstorm was coming, and I was outside. I could see the lightning between the ground and the approaching clouds. And I had a bunny in my pocket. Going inside, I deposited the bunny on the floor with two small puppies, smaller even than the bunny.
